Window Treatments

Did you know that when you live in the country you don’t need curtains or blinds on your windows?
Outside it’s just the birds and the trees. And why would you need blinders from that?

I imagine to keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter. :)

I live in town and don’t have curtains or blinds… yet. Maybe I should get on that.

I grew up in the country.
I now live in the city and it makes me crazy to have to close my curtains/blinds all the time (also, I cannot operate them properly and it takes me about 5 minutes to close each one).

We also live in the country, but on a busy road, with water on the other side of the road. It’s a gorgeous view and I refuse to cover my big picture windows and sliding glass door with any window treatments. In fact, most of my windows don’t have any window treatments at all, for some reason, I just don’t like them. The downside is: you really notice when the windows are dirty. Good thing my husband doesn’t mind washing them!

Oh, but we city dwellers often keep the curtains wide open. After a while, you forget all about the windows. You just live your life. It’s like living in Sim Tower. LOL

It is fascinating to drive along a country road here on PEI and be able to survey which TV programs are most popular. Some folks like curtains at night just to shut out the dark–not the same as the dakytinw!
