Ha ha! I know the feeling all too well – in fact, just a few hours ago I was contemplating a blog post about what we’re living without these days.

Our living room holds only one armchair, which Roddy and a strong friend picked up from the curb just down the street. It’s accompanied by other relics of our travels: Moroccan bean bag “pouf seats” and lanterns, a hand-me-down book stand and a coffee table – another curbside freebie. We sit round like the table getting sore bums from inadequately padded seats, but atmosphere of living without is somehow beautiful and the guitars see a lot of action!

Congratulations on the new furniture! What a treat to have a comfy place to sit after working so hard all day. Any pics of the beach or did that turn into a shopping trip day?

So glad to see that you have comfortable furniture. The furniture is pretty and suits your older home.
We are enjoying our new furniture also; a sofa for me and a Lazyboy rocker chair for my husband. When he creeps onto “my” territory I let him enjoy the sofa for a bit before I banish him back to his Lazyboy. After all, why would one leave a Lazyboy?
