Merry Christmas!
Posted on 25. Dec, 2008 by Laura-Jane - Whimfield in Personal
It’s Christmas! I just wanted to say all those good, happy greetings that should be said on a day like today!
Don’t you love these images? They were created by Whimfield friend and graphic designer, Michelle.
I think I was only supposed to share one, but I couldn’t choose just one!
We are laying low today. I’m missing my family back home in BC. I can’t believe this is our second Christmas on our own!
That being said, we’re very happy to be puttering around our house on Christmas today.
As vegetarians, we’ll be making a gourmet pasta dinner with garlic bread. And we’ll have pumpkin pie for dessert. If I have my way, Bing Crosby and other pleasant Christmas tunes will be playing all day.
Happy, merry, wonderful day to all!

Hi Laura-Jane and Cam
Michele has done great work with your pictures. (I really do love the wagon wheel in the snow)
I am just having some quiet time at home (as I personally don’t celebrate Christmas) I love the me time.
I did enter the SWBNetwork Christmas Quiz. (movies) I didn’t get them all right but I did win a prize donated by another B.C. girl Alice Seba. (Delta)
Here is a link to all of the winners.

Merry Christmas, Laura-Jane and Cam!! I hope you two had a wonderful day together. Mark and I celebrated Christmas eve and day with a lot of family and food, and a lot of snow on the ground!
I was listening to Bing Crosby yesterday too :)

@Toni – Mmm! Tofurky!
@Marie – A vous aussi! (Um, that was very bad French. Marie is French. I hope she’ll forgive me.)
@Gary – I see you won something too! Congrats!
@Alison – I love Bing! He’s my favourite at Christmas. And Nana Mouskouri.

You were missed at Christmas dinner. We all talked about you guys, though. And I uploaded photos of you two, your house and cam in front of the woodpile for Grandma V’s photo watch.

Lovely to see your Christmas Greetings! As for us, we had a cozy Boxing Day Brunch with Mike’s eggs benedict and Naomi’s fruit salad, amidst the beautiful snowy forest at Naomi and Rod’s house. We missed you both and your grandma Connie (Connie is still very weak with a bad cough and also recuperating from the Norwalk Virus). But, I didn’t miss you and Cam tooooooo much, because I felt you were happy where you have chosen to be, and I felt close to you in my heart (as usual)! It also helps that you share so much of yourselves on your Whimfield site.
At Naomi’s, we watched violinist Andre Rieu’s DVD Winter Wonderland, and I loved hearing Andre Rieu talk Dutch to the Brabant audience.
Madalyn and I practiced drawing a dog, and Benny and I ‘bowled’ via We-Sport.
This season, I have enjoyed listening over and over to the male singers, Il Divo, especially their singing of Alleluya, with its impeccable solo guitar accompaniment. (This is not specifically a Christmas CD).

Lovin’ life over here! Glad that you didn’t give up on me during my month off from blogging!
All are doing quite well! We’re baking, playing board games and just enjoying life!
Blessings!

@Andrea – That’s a nice thing to say… Thanks, Andrea. It was definitely weird to be so far away. I think everyone must be sick of talking about us by now!? We love it, talk away, but I hope people aren’t annoyed with the topic yet. :)
@Naomi – Thanks Naom! Missed you too!
@Mom – Love ya. Thanks for the play by play.
@Lacy – Of course not! With three–or four–new children in the house, you have a grace period of like, three years! Or more. :)
