Love this. Very wise words…and I totally agree. Perhaps it’s because we know deep down they love us..despite all our ugliness.

This is, sadly, so true. I remember a poem my mother used to quote to me and I found it on the net.

“You always hurt the one you love
The one you shouldn’t hurt at all
You always take the sweetest rose
And crush it till the petals fall
You always break the kindest heart
With a hasty word you can’t recall
So If I broke your heart last night
It’s because I love you most of all.”

Or, I guess we can always claim PMS :)

    Hey –

Is that Cameron disc-ing with the Massey Ferguson?
    Look at you guys go!

Susan and I hit our 20th anniversary this year.
We are currently, actively and deliberately working on exactly what you just wrote.

I concur. My man also has firewood stacked up, a cozy house, squeeky clean dishes, and dinner simmering on the stove for me when I get home.
And I have to remember to smile.
    To say thank you.
    :)
    Thank you!

It is easy to take love for granted we are all probably guilty of it, but just do one special thing everyday to show your love. I love you both!

As I grow comfortable in my status as an ol’fart, I have come to understand that while love may be unconditional, relationships are not.

Love is like air; relationships like breathing.

Maybe that’s why we should not take breathing for granted, we should practice it, work at it, and learn the art of brining in the air, and letting it go . . .

Nice thoughts on relationships but I gotta tell you the truth, my concentration was on your boy and his awesome tractor! Heehaw Cameron!
