Q. Who are Laura-Jane and Cameron?
They are a couple in their late twenties and early thirties. They’ve been together for ten eleven twelve years and have seen each other grow: from teenagers to university graduates to working professionals and, now, to farm-hands, philosophers, and business owners.
You can read Laura-Jane’s long and tedious life story here. Cameron’s story is here!
Q. Where do they live?
They currently live in a 100-year-old farmhouse on 63 acres of field, forest, and streams, which are located in a small community outside of Montague, on Prince Edward Island, Canada. They are both originally from Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
Making the move from British Columbia to PEI was their dream, and they achieved it. This blog tells the story of how they did it and the challenges that followed.
Q. What’s the point of all this?
Laura-Jane and Cameron want you to live your dream. They want you to get inspired and have the strength to make your “life-dream” happen.
For them, the change they needed was to give up their urban lifestyle and move to a rural community. That was their dream.
Your dream might be different than theirs. But they hope that their stories will inspire you to start realizing your dreams!
Q. What does “Whimfield” mean, anyway?
It’s the name of their house and property. They call it “Whim” for short!
Q. How do they pay the bills?
Laura-Jane and Cameron run a web consulting company. Laura-Jane also does some contract work for the University of Prince Edward Island. Yes, they are very busy!
Q. Has Whimfield been in the press?
