I guess I set the date to the future, but never completed writing this one.
The scoop: There was a kitten living in our shed, but it has gone AWOL, but I think it just went back to where its mother lives.
I should probably unpublish this or delete this kitten post, but now that it’s out in the public domain I am reticent to do so!
We don’t really want a cat in our lives, because Cameron is sensitive to pet dander and I am a bad housekeeper who never cleans. But it sure was pleasurable to look outside and see a kitten bopping around in the shed.
I am not worried about the cat though, as I am almost certain it has gone back to our neighbour’s place.
Our girl has a strong attraction to kitties, but after this Sunday visiting my brother up in Souris who has two new kittens, we decided we should wait for her to get a little older and a little gentler when handling them!
I think this looks a lot like a cat that my Dog groomer took in after seeing him at the vet in Montague. Someone had found him and he was covered in oil and they had trimmed him up – he really looked like a cartoon character the way they had sheared him- but the dog groomer couldn’t resist him- very nice little kitty! If it is the same guy, she named him/her Moe and he is a lovely little guy.
You know, you could have barn cats which you feed, yet remain wild. They’re good at mousing and you don’t have to have them as pets. Just a thought. Some critters are best kept away from your home.
We had a muskrat that tried to find it’s way under our sad old shed that’s due to come down. Our dogs discovered it and after much ruckus and fuss, hubs managed to get it out into the open field in hopes it would run away but it chose to go on the attack instead. Our brave dog, Mike took hold of it in his mouth in an effort to protect his master but the dang thing was trying to bite our boy. Colby, blind dog went after it also but it nipped at him… could have done serious damage. I’ll not share the ending but the dogs and hubs survived unharmed.
Maybe you should get a dog instead. He could live in a nicely insulated doggie house built by Cam.
Have to agree on pets in the country/farm. They are nice for the purpose of keeping other critters at bay.
Also as you said, it is comforting to see a cat or dog romping outside.
No, no, no. I recognize that cat. We call him “Spark Plug” – he roams around fixing small motors, cleans the plugs and goes on to the next job. No worries . . . he’s fine!
Kitten update — It’s back!! I can see it basking itself in the sun right now! I’m going to go attempt to feed and cuddle it. (The cuddling hasn’t really happened yet.)
Hi L-J
Wow, you have a kitten and he is MIA.
Sorry to hear that. I hope he turns up again for you.
:o( Sad face
Gary
When did you acquire a kitten or did you?
OMG! I didn’t mean to post this entry, lol.

By the way…. loving your new look here.

That cat looks like he was up to no good anyway – he’s probably tough and will swing by once in a while to say hi.

Yeah! Glad to hear the kitty is doing fine.
