A Frog in the Hand
Posted on 12. Oct, 2009 by Laura-Jane - Whimfield in House
I was upstairs, inside, thundering away on my keyboard. Fingers flying, ideas flowing.
I heard Cameron calling my name from outside. I opened the window in our office and hung my head out Rapunzel-style. Looking down, I saw Cameron smiling up at me, saying “Frog, I’ve got a frog!”
I smiled and bent my head back inside the house. I scooped up my camera. I craned my neck out of the window again. He was still standing there, smiling.
I took this picture. I then retracted my Rapunzel hair and faded back into the house and began thundering away on my keyboard. Fingers flying, ideas flowing.
PS: This post reminds me of another frog I watched up close. And it also reminds me of another day when I got called outside for a different reason.

That’s so cute, to get all excited over a frog! I can relate to that excitement.
Hubs found a robin’s nest in one of our trees and there was a pretty little blue egg in it (along with some crushed bits of shell). I used to find them when I was a kid and this discovery was the most exciting thing. Of course, the camera was fetched and photos were taken.
If I were to see a salamander, I’d be over the moon.

I can’t help but wonder how “Mr. Frog” is going to fit in the “ideas flowing” segment of your day.
One famous frog that everyone knows.

Nothing made me smile more than our “little frog farm” at our 2nd home in PEI. A little water issue…led to my husbands excited call…Barb come see this quick! Out I went…”watch this!” as he walked through the miny ponds in our yard…dozens of little frogs bounced out of the way of his feet! Any walk about in the yard this summer was always accompanied by our new little neighbours and the smiles on our faces.
