Based on Barry’s recommendation to visit Brehaut’s Restaurant for milkshakes, we recently drove to the neighbouring community of Murray Harbour to do just that..visit Brehaut’s for milkshakes and ice cream.
The milkshakes and ice cream were divine, and we enjoyed them outside at the Murray Harbour wharf.
The sun was setting and it was a perfect summer evening to explore a new place–ice cream in hand.
Prince Edward Island is pretty small. You can easily drive from tip-to-tip (and back again if you really wanted to) in one day. What does that mean? It means that on a weekend day-trip you can go anywhere. It is a lofty goal of mine to eventually visit all of the communities in Prince Edward Island.
We haven’t made much time for exploring; as you know, I don’t get out much. But every so often we make a trip to visit a community that’s new to us.
I especially love grabbing a snack or having dinner at small cafes and restaurants. Generally, in smaller places I feel like where I spend my dollars counts. I am rather thrifty, but if I really must spend money I’d sure rather it go to a little place like Brehaut’s in a fishing village like Murray Harbour, population 256.
I wonder where we’ll go next. Have you been anywhere new lately?
