Our woodstove is working like a charm. It’s -4 celcius outside. With the wind-chill it’s -9c, and we are a toasty 21c inside our house, which we heat with wood heat only.
Although outside I can still see vestiges of the recent dusting of snow, it feels like spring from where I’m sitting.
It’s a far cry from last winter, when we froze, froze, and froze some more.
Thank you, hard work. Thank you, heat.

I had a cabin at one time. I decided to heat with a fuel stove. I relized that I would not be able to chop down trees, haul them, cut them, split them by myselt. That was in AK. then I moved to WI. A lot of people here heat with wood, love that smell of wood smoke!

Wow is that beautiful! I am not one for the cold really, though it is 25 deg F here. I can’t wait for Spring. Glad to hear the insulation and wood stove are paying off though!

I was walking around our neighbourhood, and I went out to Highway 17 right near Albion/Sturgeon. There are a couple little bridges along the highway, and I just stood on the side of the highway on a bridge looking out over the water, and I took that photo.
I think it’s a very pretty spot.
You can cook on top of your stove you know..
